In the last 20 years minimum wage for servers in almost every state has remained at 2.13 an hour. This is because as a tipped employee the server is expected to make up the difference with the money they receive from customers. However not all customers tip appropriately considering that most servers share their tips with other tipped employees like the bartenders, and the busboys. Since servers do rely almost completely on customers to earn their living our income can fluctuate heavily from week to week. This makes it extremely hard for the servers to pay bills and support our families. Please sign this petition to help bring this issue to light.
