Raise Social Security benefits. Cost of living did increase. Same for all receiving under $1500 a month. Not percentage.

Cost of living DID increase. A cost-of-living raise should have been issued for Social Security recipients - at least to single persons receiving less than $1500 per month. Fairness would be to give the same amount to each person, not a percentage, which gives the higher paid persons a higher amount of increase. That is not fair for the lower paid persons. A percentage has never been fair. People already receiving more should not get a higher increase. Having worked 40 years, I paid a lot of taxes, SS and etc. Yet I receive only $966 a month, even after the "percentage" of increase received last year (and none this year). Rent increased, cost of food increased, cost of personal items increased...cost of everything increased. Don't tell me the cost of living didn't increase.
