Raise the social security tax rate on individuals earning $220,200 dollars a year or more to 6.20%.

Created by C.C. on January 13, 2013

I hearby request that the Social Security tax rate be increase to 6.20% for all indivuduals earning $220,200 or more of yearly income. Currently, individuals earning $220,200 pay 3.10%, individuals earning $440,400 pay 1.60%, individuals earning $506,000 pay 1.30%, individuals who earn $1,000,000 pay 0.70% and finally individuals earning $10,000,000 pay 0.07%. All citizens of the United States should pay 6.20% regardless of there financial status. And with this increased funding to help secure the program, I also hearby request that no members of Congress or any Presidential Adminstration shall be allowed to spend this surplus. This program is a right, seeing we pay into it, not an entitlement.
