Raise the start pay for Certified Nursing Assistants. For whom has been a Certified Nursing Assistant more than 10 years

I have been a Certified Nursing Assistant for more than 10 years. I love what I do for a living. Yes I could have went back to school to be a Nurse, but I chose not to. I feel has if I get to know my patients more as being a Certified Nursing Assistant. We become to know what our patients like and dont like. In our line of work they say you are not suppose to become attached to your patients. I say why not! Im giving baths, feeding, dressing and grooming my patients everyday. How am I not suppose to be attached. We as Nursing Assistant are compassinate and caring. There is hard larbor in what we do. Some of us go into strangers homes to care for them. We drive all over the city to care for them. Sometimes we dont even know what we are walking into when we are going to strangers homes.
