Raise tariffs on foreign produced goods that we produce in the US to create more jobs.

Created by S.M. on January 03, 2013

Mr. President,

Happy new year. It seems that the Fiscal Cliff issue has been the main issue being discussed. There has not been a solid idea on how to create jobs in the past few years. Most of our job loss can be attributed to other countries being able to produce goods with much lower labor costs. We need to raise tariffs on goods produced abroad, to give companies here the edge they need. Companies that moved production overseas because they could not compete need incentives to move back. The US auto and auto parts companies will not be able to be as successful as they once were, as long as there are companies offering the same autos and parts made cheaper overseas. Having 10 million more people in the workforce would do more to cut costs and raise revenue than any other action.
