Raise the tax on per gal of gas from $0.18 per gallon to $0.23 per gal to pay for increased transportation improvements.

America's infrastructure is crumbling and needs a lot of updating. We haven't had any increase in the federal tax on gas since 1993. Since gas prices are at a very low cost I would suggest raising the federal gas tax from $0.184 per gallon to $0.234 per gallon. This addition would allow significant infrastructure improvements at time when Americans could afford it.
