Raise Teacher Pay

As teachers, we work very hard to insure that our students are college or career ready by graduation. We spend entire weekends writing lesson plans, creating new projects, and doing research on best practices and instructional approaches that will best help our students to succeed as thinkers in a modern world. We spend our summers attending training for this same reason. However, it is made very clear on payday that we are the most underappreciated workers in America. Teachers sacrifice so much of their lives for their students without asking for a single "thank you" from anyone, and yet, we struggle to pay our bills and buy groceries. Please increase teacher pay and show the world that we do indeed value Education. Saying it in the media isn't enough: it's time to really change things!
