Raise U S Treasury Interest Rates to financial insitutions

Created by M.S. on February 21, 2013

Millions of senior citizens depend on interest income from banks, etc., to supplement their Social Security income. The U S Treasury holds the interest rate artificially low and interest income is awful, the smallest percentage it has ever been.

For those of us who do not play stock market roulette, we are paying the cost for the banks profits. We paid our tax dollars to bail them out, and now we are paying with a loss of income. Banks made the bad loans, they ended up with home owners money and the house when they foreclosed the properties. And we rewarded them with great interest rates. I think this is wrong.

We hope everyone receiving interest on their savings accounts will sign this petition. We have suffered long enough.
