Two bills have been circulating in congress for more than 12 years that would do more to help our economy and funding of our government than any other bill introduced in recent history.
The bills, HR 25 (66 co-sponsors) and S 13 (8 co-sponsors) provides for the abolition of the current, progressive income tax system. In its place, it proposes a national consumption tax (sales tax) on all new goods with a prebate system that lowers the effective tax rate for anyone who now pays no income taxes.
