A plea - As a mom, daughter, sibling and now adoptive grandmother of a now a young adult. - Representing more than 30 Million Americans with Ultra-Rare and Rare Diseases.- Many Rare Diseases are serious and have debilitating conditions that have a significant impact on the lives of those affected. According to the United States Food and Drug Administration, Millions of Americans affected by Rare Diseases have no treatment specific to their disease. Besides dealing with their specific medical problems their education is compromised due to misdiagnosis, disease struggles and accessing specialized medical services and training in and out of the school system. Please declare the last day of February for Rare Disease Day Awareness in the United States. Thank you for your vote!
