The 27th Ammendment of the Constitution should be ratified to ensure members of Congress do not receive pay for services and representation that they are not performing which have caused a shutdown of the United States Government and then just a temporary solution. For the entire time that Congress does not pass a permanent budget, they should not receive any pay and allowances because they are not performing their duties and responsibilities as representatives of the people of the United States in which they were voted into office by the very people they affected directly. The 27th Ammendment protects the pay for members of Congress; by ratifying the ammendment they would be more likely to create a permanent solution vice another temporary one creating future political gamesmanship.
