The Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities strengthens the rights of disabled individuals across the US. There have been 134 countries across the world that have signed and ratified the convention. In 2009, ratification failed in the US.

8. Right to equal employment
Currently, disabled individuals are subject to significantly greater violence that those without disabilities. The World Health Organization in a 2012 report explains that violence against disabled individuals is 4 times that of people without. Please help truly achieve equality for disabled individuals
