Ratify the Kyoto Protocol and Reduce Carbon Emissions

Created by C.G. on December 27, 2012

After this year of devastating extreme weather, which continues to affect our friends both in America and throughout the world, it is time for our to government to make a commitment to fight climate change.

Originally drafted in in 1997, and renewed in 2012, the Kyoto Protocol provides a framework for limiting or reducing carbon emissions across 47 industrialized nations.

As the world's second greatest producer of greenhouse gasses, after China, it is time for us to commit to lessening our global footprint. After the widespread droughts and extreme storms such as Sandy that have affected many Americans, we must accept the reality of climate change, and work with the global community to counteract it while we still can.
