Ratify the Kyoto Protocol and take steps to combat climate change.

I call upon the Obama administration and Congress to finally get around to ratifying the Kyoto Protocol. The United States is one of the largest producers of harmful carbon dioxide and greenhouse gases that are destroying our planet. We can no longer bury our heads in the sand and pretend that all is well. Our nation needs to move away from fossil fuels and toward solar, wind, and other forms of renewable energy. Ratifying the Kyoto Protocol will signal that we are ready to do that and will hold us accountable to our promise of change. Conservatives, liberals, independents - I call upon all of you to step up and do what is right for this country. Get out from under the thumbs of the companies killing us slowly. Save our country. Save our planet. Preserve our way of life for our children.
