Ratify the United Nations' Convention on the Rights of the Child

Created by S.D. on September 05, 2014

As of this date, the United States is the only country in the developed world that has not yet ratified this treaty which ensures the basic human rights of children all over the world. The United States helped to create this treaty: we commented on all articles of the treaty, and three of them were directly lifted from the US Constitution.

We feel that it is important for the government to ratify this treaty as soon as possible so that all Americans, including children, have the peace of mind of knowing that they are entitled to all of these rights along with those afforded by our own laws and statutes.
