Repeal Department of Defense (DoD) Directive 5210.56, signed into effect in February 1992 by Donald J. Atwood, Deputy Secretary of Defense.
In the aftermath of two shootings at Ft. Hood Texas and one at the Washington Navy Yard. It is clear that our military faces our enemies not just on foreign soil, but here at home. Arm our military, allow them to carry firearms so they may defend themselves, their fellow military personal, and our Nation. We trust them to be armed when it suits our government, arm them when it protects their safety and the safety of their families.
Allow our service men and women (at the very least NCO's and above) to carry issued firearms/sidearms on base.
