Re-assert freedom of (and from) religion. Basic human rights should not be applicable only to major religious groups.

Created by S.H. on December 16, 2012

This country is made of a diverse variety of people, all with their own thoughts and beliefs and cultures. Each with rights to their own minds and free will, made possible by our founding fathers and the structure they have provided our government.

We are a nation born from the desire to have the freedoms of thought, speech, and religion. We created separation of church and state to guarantee no one group will be treated unfairly for being different than the majority, but it seems that many of our citizens have forgotten that freedom is not a privilege given to those who are the majority and denied to those who are not. Everyone is entitled to basic human rights.

Please remind our country that atheists and homosexuals are people who deserve respect and equal rights just as they do.
