The United States Supreme Court has invalidated Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act which had allowed the Federal Department of Justice to hold accountable states and individual areas in states, which have historically restricted democracy by restricting access to the voting booth. Ask Congress to come up with a formula before the end of the present Congressional session which will ensure that the voting rights of millions of American citizens are not violated now or in the future.
