The drug loperamide, known to most as imodium or anti diarrheal medicine. It was once a scheduled drug because it is an opiod. A very weak one but when taken in high doses it will create the same high as oxycontin.
It is becoming an epidemic in the drug addiction world. Rehabs are now acknowledging it and treating it like any other opiod drug.
At the very least lets re classify this and get it behind the counter with limits of how much you can buy, like Pseudoephedrine.
I am a drug addict who had put together several years clean time before i was introduced to this. It is so much harder to stay clean when you can go to walmart and for 5 dollars be high all day. Who needs to dr. Shop anymore.
Lets get this drug back where it once was, and belongs. On the scheduled narcotic list.
