Proposal that President Obama re-convene Congress in order to gain approval, or disapproval, for military intervention in Syria. This is enumerated under the President's power to convene Congress on 'extraordinary Occasions', Article II, § 3. The process by which the government decides to go to war is well laid out in the constitution and through executive precedent, and it would be in the interest of the democratic process to have the representative bodies of the people decide whether our country should engage in military intervention anywhere in the world.
