Re-direct our Space Program towards the construction of a Space Elevator and away from costly rocket technology.

Created by M.E. on December 14, 2012

In recent years the International Space Elevator Commission or ISEC as well as a great many scholars, researchers and interest groups have pressed for the need for a space elevator to be constructed. The primary draw; it saves money. The space elevator would be a stable, permanent connection between earth and space that could be accessed at any time. That being said, it nearly eliminates the need for costly, dangerous rocket based technology in exchange for a far superior alternative.

The feasibility studies have been done, the math works, the ideas are sound. All that is missing is enough research funding to develop a cable to make the whole thing possible and support from the US government. Millions of dollars could be saved by this project.

It is the right direction for us to go.
