To re-enact the Federal Assault Weapons Ban without an expiration date in order to prevent military weapons in society

Due to escalation in mass shootings, and the majority of the people understanding that such weapons intent is no other than to cause bodily harm, I believe it should not be allowed to be owned as a recreational firearm unless major modifications are done to the weapon to change its designation.
