Re-engage our public schools systems in emphasising and teaching of American history and government.

For many years, our federal government has put a deliberate focus on the development of science, math, and writing skills amongst our students, whilst ignoring and diminishing the importance of teaching history and the basic faucets and components of our democracy. It is in the opinion of our nation, that to further advance the the promise of our forefathers and continue our prosperity, it is imperative that our government takes effective action reemphasizing the importance of history and knowledge of our government. This will help spawn great leaders and a more politically engaged and educated public; hence, a more effective government. The White House can help this cause by endorsing legislation that would increase funding and establish new programs to promote history in our schools.
