Re-establish the State Department office tasked with resolving the cases of remaining Guantanamo detainees.

Created by I.C. on April 13, 2013

President Obama needs to resume the steps he can take to fulfill his campaign promise to close Guantanamo Bay. He has the ability to re-establish the office in the U.S. State Department tasked with finding a lasting, salvaged resolution to the sorry saga of the Gitmo detainees.

He owes it to the American people to re-establish that office and let it do the work it had been doing.

President Obama can't wait on Congress. He CAN take this step.
