The number of mass shootings since state psychiatric hospitals were closed has increased substantially. We know that for a fact, it's public record. Opening at least one state Psychiatric hospital per state would at least potentially single out the criminally insane, and would potentially cut back substantially on mass shootings. All of the mass shooters in the news were individuals with severe thought disorders with permanently and irreversibly compromised abilities to differentiate reality from non-reality, and are capable of hurting thousands and need to be separated from the general public.
