Re-establish the US Civilian Conservation Corps for green job creation!

Created by J.A. on September 01, 2012

The original Civilian Conservation Corp, created in 1933, lasted for nearly a decade and was the first and most popular program of the New Deal.

The revitalized CCC would enlist thousands of young Americans in all 50 states, Native America, and Territories, putting them to work on the huge backlog of reconstruction projects so urgently needed on the 700 million acres of both urban and rural public lands across our country.

Let’s put American’s to work on jobs that really need to be done, building national assets for future generations.
HR 494, the 21st Century Civilian Conservation Corp Act is a job creation program that re-establishes a Civilian Conservation Corp.sponsored by Ohio Representative Marcy Kaptur.
