Re-evaluate the drug schedules as it pertains to the classification of Marijuana.

Created by C.A. on March 07, 2013

Marijuana is in the same class of drugs as Heiroin and Cocaine. Scientific research has indicated that marijuana is capable of being used as medicine. 19 out of our 50 states including our Nation's Capitol have legalized marijuana to be prescribed as medicine. 2 states have legalized the possession of small amounts for recreational use. Marijuana should not be included in the class of drugs that it is currently in and until it gets reclassified, the government will not be able to fund research. It should have never been classified the way that it is. We could grow marijuana for paper, textiles, and all of the other possible uses of it if it were in a different class of drugs.
