Re-evaluate food "safe" chemicals and the FDA

The FDA's approval of the many chemicals they deem safe or GRAS status chemicals is reprehensible and irresponsible. Such as the recent Subway bread Azodiacarbonamide chemical scandal. They have deemed it safe for up to 45 ppm as a additive to food, and yet have found proof of a carcinogenic in a bi-product of working with it. Which would naturally form from cooking the chemical as it would be in normal processing of creating the food. Furthermore this chemical has been BANNED in the E.U. and maligned by W.H.O. There are many more chemicals that have been approved by the FDA that are questionable as well but not brought under scrutiny. The FDA's approval process and list of food safe chemicals needs to be investigated and reformed. Health and safety of our food should be paramount!
