A Walk-In patient, intending to seek the aid of the emergency room at hospitals for a refill of medication(s), should not be required to sign a document that holds the capacity to detain and/or Baker Act the Walk-In patient before seeing a qualified staff of the hospital who can fill a prescription slip for the Walk-In patient without perjury of the Walk-In patient's human rights and his/her ability to leave the hospital with a refilled prescription.
This will help prevent possible Malpractice towards a Walk-In patient. The documents which could detain and/or Baker Act the Walk-In patient who is only seeking a refill of medication(s), questions the position of the hospital to detain and/or Baker Act the Walk-In patient.
