Re-evaluate tax breaks and subsidation for big agricultural companies and help hard working family farms

Created by M.J. on March 04, 2016

Big agricultural companies recieve large amounts of money and tax breaks from the government, even though they are the main producers in the ingredients in our "Junk Food." While only 70% of family owned and smaller farms who produce more healthy foods recieve any assistance from the government. This in turn raises the cost of health care as for poorer families the only option is what is cheap, or junk food. If we reroute this money to more farms that supply healthy foods we will help end the obesity epidemic in this country by making healthy foods more affordable. Let's start an initiative where it is healthy foods that are the smart and affordable choice for ALL americans
