This is a petition for all citizens that pay their taxes, do not receive assistance and struggle financially. These are the tax paying citizens who work hard for their wages who watch legal and illegal immigrants take advantage of their taxes deceitfully and without regard. These cases needed to be reevaluated and assistance allocated to those who deserve it. The Dept of Family Services needs to enforce better protocols to ensure that welfare applicants are rightfully receiving benefits. Perhaps rewarding those who have successfully relinquished themselves from public assistance due to the pursuit of a better lifestyle and want to contribute to their communities rather than take.
