Re-instate the Ability to Benefit Provision for Financial Aid, so That Those Who Are Most in Need Can Get an Education

Created by J.K. on February 07, 2013

I worked for 2 months to help someone who was homeless to get into community college. She qualified for at least $14,000 in financial aid grants before the FinancialAidPackage was implemented which was passed by CongressinDecember of 2011. She worked so hard. She was legitimately homeless because she had BadParents, and was only 19. We BothWorked for about 12 hours a day for the first month to get all her PaperworkDone. SheWasDenied after 2 months of LongHours worked to get her FinancialAid.

We ask that the AbilitytoBenefitProvision be reinstated for FinancialAid to prevent further tragedies like this from continuing to occur. CommunityCollege is meant to be a WayOutOfPoverty, now those who had troubled childhoods and didn't finish Highschool can not get into college or vocational school
