This act should be re-instated, making it illegal to desecrate the American flag for any reason at all. The American flag is the symbol to which the U.S stands upon, it is the symbol to which every American soldier has fought and died for. For someone or some group to desecrate the American flag, whether it is through burning it, in an attempt to deliver a message, serves as disrespect to our country, and to the face of every American soldier who has fought, and who is still fighting for it.
