We've been at War for over 12 years, as a GWOT 12 year veteran I would like the United States to re-instate the draft and bring back mandatory military service. The politicians and the American people have taken the all volunteer force for granted, cutting benefits, cutting pensions, Atrocious treatment by the Veterans affairs administration and aggressively starting wars without full approval from congress. If we re-instate the draft it would make politicians more cautious when starting military conflicts. Also it could provide training and skills for young men and women getting out for high school and instill discipline and respect.
