We know from previous experience that DDT can cause issues with the rest of the environment, mainly in the thickness of bird egg shells, but the only reason that DDT caused so much destruction in the environment before is because we used it to kill everything. I am not suggesting that we return to that.
What I am proposing is that we allow the use of DDT for specific circumstances in fighting mosquitos and bedbugs. We will limit its deployment to only areas that are heavily affected by the insects, and the effects on the environment will be monitored closely.
