With the space program canceled we have little to no eyes and ears in space. We are going to have to go into space again maybe not for a long time but our descendants would appreciate a head start. We need to focus on a better design for spacecraft and possibly militarization of space. We may not know it yet but there is other life out there some may be friendly while others hostile which is why we need to be prepared. We should also work with other countries that have had or have successful space programs. We need to pool our resources and knowledge together to get off this planet and into space. Maybe a few hundred years from now we will be able to colonize space, but not without having a working program first.
