The recent closing of the White House to public tours in the name of the sequester is not in the best interest of this country. Many families, schools, religious organizations and visitors from abroad plan months in advance for the chance to tour "The People's House". Closing the White House to tours prevents these people from experiencing what could be the most moving experience of their lifetimes. Please sign this petition to re-open the White House to public tours as soon as possible! Either by accepting public funding or reconsidering other Secret Service detail that is deemed less important than safeguarding this landmark.
