It was unfair to punish the public first under the sequester by closing the White House to tours. It make the president look very small in the eyes of those who have planned for year to make the visit to the "peoples house." Congress and the President have not felt one ripple from their inability to meet the needs of the people in spending our tax money. Making the public suffer for the small amount of funds it takes to keep these tours open is not justifiable. Now the funds we spend on foreign aid are starting to look huge in comparison to this arbitrary and punitive action.
