Competition between the airlines have created price wars within the industry. As a result, ticket prices have fallen dramatically. Because of this, wages have been cut which hurt many Pilots, Mechanics, and flight attendants who's salaries have all gone down over the years. Also there has been an enormous amount of debt. According to the industry's leading trade group, Airlines for America, U.S. airlines have lost $50 billion over the past 10 years (http://www.usatoday.com/news/opinion/forum/story/2012-03-28/regulate-air...). To save on costs, I have overheard that some airlines are thinking of taking there maintenance facilities to other countries (Mexico: cheaper labor). Thats jobs gone here in the states. Idk, Just an issue I thought i would bring up.
