RE-schedule Cannabis (marijuana) so that States can regulate it themselves.

→ Cannabis (marijuana) is currently listed as a Schedule 1 drug alongside heroin, LSD & others.
→ The National Institute of Drug Abuse consistently denies permits for research that may prove a positive use for cannabis because of this status.
→ YEARS of anecdotal evidence is available that proves that cannabis can help many seriously ill patients. (Just ask a cancer patient who has tried it for chemotherapy side effects!)
→ More than 70% of the population agrees that cannabis should be made available to patients who can benefit from its use.
→ 18 states and the District of Columbia have established laws to control and regulate the medical use of cannabis.
→ As I write this, state licensed growers are being prosecuted for violating Federal law.
