to re start the petition which would recognize islamic holidays in public schools. Originally not many people knew.

i had learned that there was a petition to have islamic holidays recognized by the public schools of the US after it was it was officially done and so did many. i have in islamic private school my entire life but next year i hope too enter public school for the first time in my life and i do not want to miss it. i know i could just miss school but in my life i have never been absent. in america today the muslim culture is still a minority but we are growing in youth. due to this there are many students missing out in the glorious day of eid. for about the next 5-4 years their will be only 1 eid in the school year and eid only last a day. we as americans and muslims have needs but we can't accomplish them without being recognized so ask for the us gov. to reconsider the peition thank you.
