We the people of the United States of America both want and deserve true representation in congress. Currently members of congress live a life of wealth and privledge knowing whatever changes they make to our nations economy, healthcare and social security will not effect their salaries, health benifits or pensions. How can they represent a body of people that they have nothing in common with, they have no skin in the game.
The salary should be lowered to $65,000.00 per year, that is a fair amount. Their health benifits should be the same as the rest of the country and they should have to pay for it, not the american people. No more full retierment package (even if they don't serve the full term) and no more pension, they get social security like everyone else no more, no less.
