Reactivate the U.S. signature to the International Criminal Court (ICC).

Created on March 02, 2016

President Obama, your work to prevent genocide, to make the dream of “Never Again” a reality, has been a hallmark of your presidency. Now we urge you to make this part of your legacy.

In 2002, the Bush Administration “unsigned” the ICC treaty that President Clinton had signed. Now, President Obama, with a stroke of your pen you can notify the UN and reactivate the U.S. signature.

It is time to put into words what your administration has already accomplished in deeds: that the U.S. will not undermine the ICC and will work in unison with the international community to ensure war criminals are held accountable for the world’s most heinous crimes.

Before you leave office, reactivate the U.S. signature to the ICC’s Rome Statute to affirm U.S. support for the ICC and its goals.
