We the undersigned ask President Obama to reaffirm and uphold his oath to "preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States." The second amendment states clearly that the "right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed." The decision of the Supreme court in DC vs. Heller interprets that the Constitution "limits the type of weapon to which the right applies to those used by the militia, i.e., those in common use for lawful purposes"
Mr. President, semi automatic weapons, with magazines over 10 rounds, are in the most "common use for lawful purposes" in America. We ask that you do your duty to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution, not to subvert it, or face impeachment and prosecution.
