Reaffirm the unity of the United States of America and denounce talk and petitions of secession.

This petition was formulated to reaffirm the unity of the United States of America as "One Nation, Under God, Indivisible, With Liberty and Justice For All". We believe that the question of secession was answered in the outcome of the American Civil War and the very reason that the rash of secession petitions from various states is merely a reaction to the reelection of the first black president and not a disagreement between federal and state policies. We implore President Obama to denounce the these secession movements and investigation this serious and potentially dangerous situation to the fullness of his authority.
