In the wake of the Conn. shooting, emotions are high. Trying to punish or restrict the rights or decisions of law abiding citizens would be salt on an open wound. In addition to enforcing gun laws on the books already, I think as a new law of where if a person uses a stolen firearm, unregistered firearm, or a firearm that has had its serial number removed, that a sentence enhancement of life in prision would be mandatory. Banning rifles that are no different then their hunting version with a wood stock just because they look "assault like" makes no sense when there is no difference for the most part between them. Also a fact to take note of, almost all gun crime are commited with handguns, not rifles. Let's come together and use common sense rather then emotion to make change.
