For a realistic limit to pay for elected officials based on the income of those they represent.

Created by S.T. on April 13, 2013

This petition is to remove the power of setting their own wages from elected officials and basing it off of the income of the people they represent.

I propose that the pay of all senators and representatives be the average, pre-tax income of the individual tax payers in the district that they represent. No business incomes are to be used in the calculation of their salary, only individuals. A set bonus of one percent (1%) for every 100 jobs added to their district would be added to their pay at the end of the governments fiscal year.

The presidents pay would be the average income of the entire United States individual tax payers, pre-tax income. The vice presidents pay would be the same as the presidents, minus fifteen percent (15%)
