As stated in the Declaration of Indepenance "That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government". It is not only legal for states to secede from the Union but it is our obligation for the Goverment is ignoring the people. We are asking for a peaceful secession however that does not mean we need your consent nor will we accept a refusal. If not granted the will of the people then we as the people will find secession through other means.
