reallocate funds of $1 billion from the D.O.J's budget for research of genetic mitochondrial defects for causes and cure

Although the cases of genetic mitochondrial defects are minimal to the population. The lack of interest from our country into this genetic anomaly is what has prompted this petition.We ask for 1 billion dollars to be reallocated from the budget of the Department of Justice to the Department of Education and made primarily available to schools of technology,scientific and medical study but to the general scientific community as well through research grants. For investigation and research into Genetic Mitochondrial defects as well as other related cellular mutations to provide potential cures,applications and other related advancements to the fields of, scientific, technological, genetic and medical studies.
