The United States currently spends more money on it's military, and the wars it wages than all other developed countries combined. In 2010 we spent $698,105,000,000 to wage unpopular, counterproductive wars, and for what? Imagine if even a quarter of that budget was spent on education, or infrastructure, or scientific research. Ending these wars would go such a long way to helping heal our economy, and if the United States truly wants to be the leader of the world, it should lead by making sure it's citizens are intelligent, healthy, and safe, NOT by violent military conquest.
